Priest (2011)
Movie Plot:
PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller, is set in an alternate globe -- a single ravaged by centuries of war among man and vampires. The story revolves close to a legendary Warrior Priest from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on a quest to find her prior to they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend, a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess who possesses otherworldly fighting expertise.
Right after centuries of war amongst guys and vampires, the Church assigns warrior-priests to vanquish the vampires. The survivors are kept in reserves and hives and the humans live in chaotic cities ruled by the Church. The priests are outcast by the Church, afraid of the electrical power of their fighting skill. When Shannon and Owen Pace, who reside in an outpost, are slaughtered by vampires and their daughter Lucy is abducted by the vampires, the nearby sheriff Hicks seeks out Owen's brother, the Priest, to search for Lucy. The Priest asks permission to Monsignor Orelas but he denies. So the Priest breaks his vows and travels with Hicks to track down the vampires and rescue Lucy just before they turn her into a familiar. Sooner the warrior Priestess joins the Priest and Hicks in their quest.
